About Us

Welcome to the Interaction Lab - A human-computer interaction (HCI) and cognitive systems research group at the University of Regensburg and University of Stuttgart. We are interested in enhancing human cognitive abilities, technologies for supporting of information acquisition, mobile and distributed interactive systems, wearable systems, physiological sensing, interactive systems for teaching and cultural heritage, ubiquitous computing systems, automotive UIs, and gaze-based interaction.

Our Research

We develop interaction techniques, interactive systems, and applications that change the way we perceive and capture information. We investigate human perception and cognitive processes to understand how future technologies should be designed. We work on a set of different research projects, some international, some national in collaboration with industry, others are on basic research (e.g. DFG), and also direct bi-lateral collaboration with industry.

Our Goals

With our research, we aim shape interaction in a future world with a goal of simplifying tasks in work and life through enjoyable technologies such as mobile and ubiquitous computing, internet of things (IoT) and cyber-physical systems. Our focus is on researching new technologies, methods, and systems that are enabled through computing becoming pervasive in our environments. If what you see on the web page makes you curious, please come and see us in person!
